City of Nogales, Arizona Chooses Delaware.Net, Inc. for Website Development Project

The City of Nogales, Arizona has awarded Delaware.Net, Inc. with a project to redevelop the city’s website and integrate new Content Management System (CMS) software that will enable the city to manage their website easily and securely. Delaware.Net, Inc. was chosen over other municipal web development companies from across the country.

Dover, Delaware February 22, 2010  -- Nogales Arizona, the largest border city in Arizona has chosen Delaware.Net, Inc. to build a new website for the city.

Nogales is a city in Santa Cruz County, Arizona, United States. The population was 20,878 at the 2000 census. The city is the county seat of Santa Cruz County.  Nogales, Arizona, borders the city of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, and is Arizona's largest international border town. The name Nogales means "walnuts" in Spanish, and the walnut trees which once grew abundantly in the mountain pass between the city of Nogales, Arizona and Nogales, Sonora can still be found around the town.

Nogales’ current website does not adequately serve the residents, visitors, and staff of the city. The site is also difficult for the city to update, and content is out of date.  The design is very plain and contains cactus images that are not indigenous to the area.  A goal of the redesigned website is to introduce a CMS to manage the site’s content.

“We are very pleased with the plan that Delaware.Net, Inc. presented to Nogales to take our website to the next level.  Not only are we getting a new custom design for our site, but we are also getting an Intranet, Content Management System, Request Tracking System, and more to better serve our residents and staff” Said Jose Gonzales, IT Director for Nogales, AZ.
